3. Special category data (health information)

Some of what we collect - particularly information shared during counselling, shamanic healing sessions, or ceremony bookings - counts as "special category data" under UK GDPR because it relates to health, mental health, or wellbeing.

We only collect this information with your explicit consent, given at the point you book a session, attend a consultation, or share it with Rebecca directly. You are always free to choose what you disclose.

Confidentiality Rebecca works to the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) Ethical Framework. This means your sessions and any notes taken are treated as confidential, with the following limited exceptions:

✧ Where there is a serious risk of harm to you or another person

✧ Where disclosure is required by law (for example, a court order)

✧ Where required under safeguarding obligations, particularly where a child or vulnerable adult may be at risk

Where possible, any concerns of this kind would be discussed with you first, unless doing so would increase risk.

Clinical supervision As required by professional ethical standards, Rebecca discusses aspects of her counselling work in supervision with a qualified supervisor. This is always done anonymously or with identifying details removed or changed, and is a standard requirement of ethical counselling practice - not a disclosure of your identity.
